All The Colours Came Out in Adelaide

17 Nov 2006
Beautiful Day got a special lyrical makeover to mark the band's appearance in the city of Adelaide.

'See the world in Green, Gold and white
See Adelaide in the cold evening light
See St. Peters right in front of ya
Murray River, South Australia
Mc Laren Vale, Barrossa Valley,
At Glenelg, the Old Gum Tree
See the bird with a leaf in its mouth
After the sun all the colours came out...'

After that, there was little doubt it was going to be a beautiful night. It might have been a bit chilly tonight but this band sound as tight onstage today as they ever did. Come to think of it - and Bono does - this is a kind of anniversary.

'Thirty years ago this month this band played its first gig,' he announces. 'I'm still a boy but I'm also a man.'

(Bit of a short report from us tonight, but if you were at the Adelaide show - or Brisbane or Sydney - don't forget you can post your own review and photos. The first ones have just gone live in our U2.Com Subscribers Tour area.)
